Here is an update on Kathy Schultz’s brother. “Doctors have determined that they will implant the heart pump February 21. This prayer request is an update from Kathy Schultz regarding her brother. He had tests all day Friday in Rochester. Tests show that he is too weak to wait indefinitely for a heart or to survive the surgery. They want to implant a pump which will relieve the strain on his heart. Immediate goal is to get him stronger to handle the implant surgery. Please pray that the medical staff involved be guided to find the best treatment for Kathy’s brother. May Kathy and her entire family feel the support of Newman parish.

Despite all the surgeries, treatments, and efforts of his doctors over the last 30 years, this is apparently the only option left. He will be 69 tomorrow. He was exposed to Agent Orange during his service in Vietnam. Blessings upon Mark, Kathy and her family.
