Below are a few highlights of what FORMED has to offer!
Adults
One of my favorite talks of all time is My Conversion Diary by Jennifer Fulwiler. She is intelligent, funny, and personable and the presentation is thought-provoking. I always assign it to the RCIA students at the beginning of class and it is consistently one that they enjoy and remember.
A new feature on this version of FORMED is audiobooks, which I can’t wait to check out! I read the book He Leadeth Me by Fr. Walter Ciszek several years ago and am excited to try the audiobook version here. It is the story of an American Jesuit priest who was captured by the Russian army during World War II and convicted of being a ‘Vatican spy’. He spent 23 years as a prisoner in a Soviet labor camp in Siberia. It is a story that is truly inspiring, especially during the difficult times in which we find ourselves
Teens
There are several great talks that I would recommend to teens that have informed and inspired my own faith during my late high school and early college years. The first is Facing your Fears by Mark Hart which is a meditation on the classic Bible story of David defeating Goliath, and Jesus is _______ by Father Mike Schmitz which invites us to consider who Jesus really is, particularly on a personal level
Kids
There are several great options for kids on FORMED including PDF storybooks and shows. I loved the book Look Again, Thomas by the Sisters of Life, a story book about noticing and appreciating the wonder of the world around us and Ryan Defrates, Secret Agent, a show that teaches kids biblical truths in a fun and entertaining way.
