Community Table:

The first shift is from 3-5 pm

The second shift is from 5-7 pm

Join other students in preparing and serving a meal at Community Table. This is a local service organization that offers Eau Claire community members a place to enjoy a free meal every day of the week.


Spring Break Service Trip 2018

The Newman Parish will be going to Riverwest Food Pantry in Milwaukee. We will be helping serve the people there as well as learn about the people of Milwaukee. This trip will take place the Tuesday-Saturday of spring break; March 20th-24th. The cost is $25 per person which includes food and lodging. Please contact Savannah Siegler if interested.


Guatemala Mission Trip

January 2nd-9th, 2018

The Newman Parish sends students every two years to Guatemala to spend seven days helping with the San Lucas Mission Parish.  Newman provides the funding for all room and board costs, so students are only asked to pay for travel fees.

Applications: Due September 25th
Application Process: After the September 25th due date, all applicants will be asked to do a in-person interview with Savannah (and/ or Fr. Dan). If accepted, a down payment of $100 is due Monday, October 2nd. The payment will then be due in full by Friday, November 17th.
Catholicism: This trip will be a Catholic mission trip and will have several spiritual elements including daily prayer and Mass. We ask that all students applying for the trip understand and agree to participate in these aspects of the trip.

An informative meeting will be held on Monday, September 11th after the Free Student Dinner (approximately 7 pm) at the ERC

The students spend time learning about the cultural, political and social realities within Guatemala, and participate in the mission’s many initiatives to bring healing, economic growth,  justice, and peace to the people of San Lucas.  This trip is also a wonderful opportunity to meet other students, see the beautiful landscapes of Guatemala, and develop a deeper sense of our global church that is bringing comfort and justice to a world in need of God’s love.  Learn more about the San Lucas Mission site at Please contact staff member Savannah Siegler if you are interested in this year’s trip.
